Staff Conference and Festivals

The month of May is always an exciting one in Safe Families as we gather as a whole team for our annual staff conference in Nottingham. We use the time to reflect on the work and stories over the last year and be inspired for the year ahead.

A big part of our time together is creating space to worship and focus on God. Faith is one of our core values and we want to be trusting God boldly for the coming year. Believing lives can be transformed and in a God who can do more than we ask or imagine.

Please be praying for our staff as we gather that we are inspired and expectant for what God is going to do through Safe Families in the coming year.

May Prayer Points

1. Big Church Festival

We are exhibiting at the Big Church Festival this May where 30,000 people from across the UK and beyond will join to worship together, in the company of some of the best Christian artists in the world.

Please pray people are inspired by our vision and want to get involved.

2. TLG

Our partner TLG is celebrating 25 years of working to support children across the UK who are struggling to cope.

TLG is all about helping churches to bring hope and a future to children facing heart-breaking challenges.

Please pray they continue to see thousands of lives transformed for good every year!

3. The Belfrey, York

The Belfrey is a church in York that wants to serve the local community and beyond, with a big vision to see God’s transformation of the North of England.

We are excited to announce a collaborative first-of-its-kind partnership with The Belfrey as they expand their social action ministry, and we want to pray a blessing on this project and the church.

4. Big Give

We would love you to pray for our current fundraising campaign as we ask people to commit to giving monthly to support more families and help us continue to train and equip volunteers. We would love to see 30 more people commit to giving as little as £10 per month.

One of our staff members had a chat with a lovely volunteer recently who said:

"I feel like me being matched with this mum was a God Incidence, not a coincidence, she is going though exactly the same experience that I have been through and I have been able to walk alongside her and be there for her. We have so much in common, God definitely had a hand in us meeting. I feel so purposeful in my life, being a volunteer with Safe Families".

We love it when we see examples of where God is working in the lives of those we support and our volunteers.
